Isokinetics Inc. Standard Pedal Exerciser - Single Piece Frame, Fully Assembled

The Isokinetics Brand standard pedal exerciser is a single piece frame design that comes fully assembled, as opposed to "knock down" versions that require frame assembly and may not be as sturdy. It is great for range of motion exercise after total knee replacement surgery, illness, or injury to get upper or lower extremity joints moving. The resistance knob allows the user to vary resistance to your needs. This inexpensive unit is the standard for home physical therapists because of the low cost and light weight.

    Product Description

Our pedal exerciser is a standard piece of equipment used in physical therapy and home exercise as a basic, affordable means to maintain leg and arm muscle tone and range of motion. It is especially useful for senior or elderly use at home. It is commonly used after knee replacement surgery for home rehab. Can be used for upper body exercises by placing it on a table and using your arms or for lower body exercises placed on the floor and pedaled with your feet. It helps you improve blood circulation, muscle strength, joint flexibility and coordination. Many people like to use it while watching TV (just make sure you sit upright enough for your legs to be at a 90 degree angle).

Unlike lower quality, "knock down" pedal exercisers that require the frame to be assembled by bolting parts together, our pedaler is made from a single, solid metal frame of high quality 1" chrome-plated steel tubing, fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box. It has 4 long-lasting flat-bottom rubber feet to grip the floor (compare to some competitor's foam wrapped footings) and adjustable pedal straps to keep your feet in place. We also supply Dycem anti-slip strips to use on slippery, hard floors.

Controlling the amount of resistance is easy: Turn the knob clockwise to increase resistance and counterclockwise to decrease. Our tension range goes from very easy to noticeably difficult.

Our standard pedal exerciser has pedals designed to accommodate hands as well as feet. Our pedal width is narrower so that smaller hands can more easily grip the pedals. And our pedals have a slight dip toward the middle for better gripping by the hands.

Caution: Tension housing and axle can become very hot if used vigorously for an extended period of time.

Start your exercise program slowly and gradually work up to 20 minutes of exercise at least three times a week. Don't overdo! ALWAYS consult a physician before beginning this, or any other, exercise program.

NOTE: If you are considering using this under a desk, please be advised the pedals top out at 13" off the floor. Please test measure this height to determine if it will fit under your desk.
