The Maxtens 1000 is a battery operated pulse generator, known as TENS unit, that send electrical impulses to the body which reach the nerves that are causing pain. The device is provided with 2 controllable output channels, each independent of each other. An electrode pair can be connected to each output channel.

The electronics of the Maxtens 1000 create electrical impulses whose intensity, duration, number per second and modulation may be altered with the controls or switches. The Maxtens 1000 has analog controls and the Maxtens 2000 has digital controls and readouts.
